Caring for yourself, spending time on your own and doing things that you enjoy, is fundamental to your emotional health and wellbeing.
Most people like helping others, giving, caring, supporting and sharing. By looking after ourselves first, then we have the strength and health so that we can give to others.
If we neglect our emotional and physical bodies, we can’t always function to the best of our ability.
Take time to reboot, prioritise your own needs, take time out and indulge yourself.
For those of you who have children, when they’re able to see you doing the things you enjoy, you are leading by example. You’re showing them that there is another part of you, aside from being a parent, so they can realise that they aren’t always the centre of attention, and this is a healthy lesson for them to learn.
