Negative self-talk and self-sabotage can become a habit.
Pay attention to how you talk to and about yourself. Stop putting yourself down, build yourself up and notice how much more confident and happy you feel.
Think of your inner critic as a force outside of yourself, give it a goofy nickname, something that starts with your name and a silly word after it. Mine could be “Margi Moron”, and I would tell myself there she goes again “Margi Moron” doing her thing. You don’t have to agree with those negative thoughts, then it becomes less threatening and easier to see how ridiculous some of your critical thoughts can be.
Replace the Bad With Some Good
This is one of the best ways to stop negative self-talk , replace it with something better. Change the thought to something encouraging and uplifting. Keep doing this and you’ll find yourself needing to do it less and less often.
Get your self-talk working for you and not against you, be your own best friend.
